Vector Text Effects

 This is a glitter text effect. I made this one because it's kinda easy. I was having a hard time with it also. But as they say, Patience is a virtue. So, I just keep patient and continue doing what i can to get this output. I was really having a hard time following the tutorial so I did something with it. I made things my own way on some layouts. I also choose my own background in here that would match text :)

This one is a folded text effect. This one was much easier than the first one I made. I think it only took me 20 minutes in making this. It's nice and it looks folded so I chose this one. I made a few errors in making this so I went back on where I went wrong and proceed in making this output.

In using Adobe Illustrator, I think I was having a more easier time when I made these two rather than when we made our logo design. I learn more using it and I can say that with a little more push, I can use the Illustrator without difficulties.

Logo Design

 This first sketch of mine was out of my confusion. I am not really an artist so I was having a hard time thinking of what to put as my logo. I was thinking of something like a ribbon that's why I put the word Satin there. In the second one, my sister quite has the idea so she put something like a crown on the bottom part and thought of my company name.

 This sketch was another clean version of the second sketch above. I was thinking of something like this in my logo. I was thinking of making it more vibrant and nice to look at.

 On this last sketch, I was thinking of replacing the cap at the top of the letter "S" thinking it would be much appropriate to put a chef's cap at the cap. That's what makes the sketch look different. Other than that it's pretty much the same. It's just more of a revised version.

This is my product. I know it doesn't look like any of the sketches above. It is probably because I was having a hard time controlling the pen tool. I was kinda sad with this output. It was rush hour though because I don't get to use our computer than I desire. I pretty much didn't have plenty of time so that is why I just came up with a simple and boring logo. I was really having a hard time since I was using Adobe Illustrator cs6. I didn't quite master where the tools are, how to control them. I just need lots of practice.

Web Design

This is an example of a unique colorful site layout. It consists of different features you can put in a webpage. This is only a design but it is pretty much what a webpage looks like.

In this exercise, I have learned to be patient. Making this kind of design takes so much of your time. I also learned to apply different blending options to make the outcome more applicable to a webpage design. Creating a design using the Adobe is not easy but it shows just how much one works to create it. Using photoshop provides you different options in which you can choose and create a design of your own.

Text Effects in Photoshop

 

This is an example of a metallic text effect. As you can see it's quite catchy, and even though it looks simple the procedure before achieving this kind of style is difficult. And this is the result of my hard work putting together different kinds of layer styles.

 

Here is a cookie style effect example, it resembles my favorite snack - cookies! And that's why I chose it. The style is nice simple and pleasant to look at. Looking at it makes you hungry.

I learned a lot from this exercise, though I had a hard time in following the tutorials because text editing isn't my forte. Applying different layer styles and putting them in to use is the most bothersome thing to do, but it taught me a lot. I was only able to make one because of the frequent black outs but it didn't lessen my learning. :)

Reflection for ITMM 102

Multimedia whether we are aware or not is part of our daily lives. Electronic devices, multimedia and computers are things we have to deal with everyday. Through it, all the things we want to do is possible such as for communication, entertainment and educational purposes. There's so much that multimedia can help us with. Almost everything in this world now involves multimedia.

Being an IT student, we often use multimedia. As a student we are given assignments that we use texts, audio, images, animation, videos and such. For example, we are told to create a website, of course we put into use the six types of multimedia. There are so much an IT student like me can put multimedia into use.

Choosing this course, I have already an idea on what path it will lead me to. In my work, multimedia would sure be a part of my chosen career. Wherever I go multimedia will always be with me. Whether i will end up working in offices or establishments. In making projects or assignments assigned to me I can make use of it. Multimedia is a part of every person's life.
